Membership
The SDAG helps people develop their interests and skills in the visual arts. We are an open group - so there is no need for examination, presentations or portfolios - to painters of all abilities, including professional artists and beginners.
It is quick and easy to become a member.
If you wish to "have a go" at painting, the SDAG gives you the opportunity. The SDAG helps you develop your techniques, your imagination and your visual eye.It is quick and easy to become a member.
Maybe you'd like to attend one of our workshops or social evenings before committing to membership - if so, we'd love to meet you!
The annual subscription of £15 entitles members to enter pictures in all SDAG sponsored exhibitions (nominal hanging fee) and, just as importantly, the chance to attend our monthly Kennels!
The exciting programme offers a monthly one day (usually Saturday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm) alternative to weekly painting classes. The group provides an opportunity for art students to add to their portfolio.
Our kennels are usually once a month, in the evening, at a member's home for a shared meal and chat about art. It's a great opportunity for networking and sharing ideas. Members can enjoy the hospitality and companionship of other like minded, friendly and supportive individuals. All Kennels are very relaxed and informal. Usually attendance is in the region of eight to ten members, so it's a manageable size.
Non-painting members are welcome.
Bursaries for reduced workshop fees are available.
