Spotted Dog Art Group Spring 2012 Exhibition

All the paintings in the exhibition were created by members of the Spotted Dog Art Group
We had a total of 728 visitors, of which 122 came on the opening day and 156 on the Friday, when we stayed open until 9pm.
A bottle of champagne was won by a member of the public who, like many others chose his “favourite pictures” and entered into our prize draw
The picture most often chosen as the favourite was “The High Life” by Patricia Cunningham.
A painting of Venice print donated by Tas Severis was won by one lucky lady from Long Eaton who entered the raffle.
Sales were very good. 25 pictures found buyers this year, and the visitors’ book contained some flattering remarks, like “inspiring”, “brilliant work”, “rich and diverse talents.” I hope we can keep up this record in future exhibitions!
The winners of our own, SDAG awards -
The Eddie Askew Prize was awarded to Madeleine Storey for her lovely watercolour “Study in White”,
The Margaret Wale Award was won by Lois Plaistow for her painting entitled “Beehives at Glenorchy”. Congratulations to both.
